How To Make Skillet Monterey Chicken

Ingredients
- 4chicken breasts,boneless skinless, thinly sliced
- 2tbspolive oil
- salt and pepper
- 3tbsphoney
- 3tbspsoy sauce
- 3tbspWorchestershire sauce
- ½tspgarlic,minced
- ½tspsalt
- 8tbspbarbecue sauce
- 1cupmonterey jack cheese,shredded
- 8slicesapple-smoked bacon,cooked, crumbled
- green onions,sliced
- 1Roma tomato,diced
Instructions

In a large skillet, add the olive oil and salt and pepper the chicken. Cook the chicken on medium high heat for 3 to 5 minutes on each side or until brown on each side and cooked until no longer pink in center. Remove chicken and set aside on a plate.

Add the honey, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic and salt to the skillet and bring to a simmer over medium high heat. Add the chicken back to the skillet and simmer for 1 to 2 minutes.

Top with 2 tablespoons of barbecue sauce, cheese, and smoked bacon. Continue to simmer until the cheese melts.

Garnish with green onions and tomato, serve immediately, and enjoy!
