Ingredients
- 1lbground beef
- 1cuponion,chopped
- 2garlic cloves,minced
- 2cupsmarinara sauce
- ¼cuptomato paste
- 2½cupswater
- 1tspdried oregano
- 1tspdried basil
- 8ozuncooked ziti pasta
- 1cupmozzarella cheese,cut into chunks
- ½cupricotta cheese
Instructions

In a large heavy cast-iron skillet, cook the beef and onions for about 5 to 6 minutes until browned and the onions are translucent then sauté in the garlic.

Add the marinara sauce, tomato paste, water, oregano, basil, and pasta and bring to a boil before reducing to a simmer and cooking, covered, for about 18 to 20 minutes.

Uncover, dot with mozzarella and ricotta cheese before serving.
