This shrimp scampi recipe uses a light sauce let the flavors stand out without overwhelming it. A quick seafood dish to serve at dinner.

Ingredients

  • 4tbspbutter
  • 1tbspolive oil
  • 3clovesgarlic,minced
  • ½tspred pepper flakes,crushed, or to taste
  • 1lbshrimp,peeled and deveined
  • ½cupdry white wine
  • ½cupparsley,chopped
  • kosher salt and pepper,to taste

Instructions

  1. Add the butter and olive oil to a large skillet over medium heat. 

  2. Stir in the garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1 minute.

  3. Add the shrimp to the pan and toss to coat. Cook the shrimp until bright pink and no longer translucent, approximately 2 to 3 minutes.

  4. Using a slotted spoon, transfer the shrimp to a plate and keep warm. 

  5. Add the wine to the pan and cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Turn off the heat.

  6. Return the shrimp to the pan and toss to coat in the sauce.

  7. Sprinkle with the parsley. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Serve immediately.
