How To Make Garlic Balsamic Mushrooms

Savor the umami flavors in these balsamic mushrooms. They’re tender and perfectly seasoned with herbs and spices, to match with some potatoes and steaks.

  • 1tbspolive oil
  • 1tbspbutter
  • 1tbspgarlic,minced
  • 16ozmushrooms,whole or halved
  • 4tbspbalsamic vinegar
  • 1tbsplight soy sauce,low sodium
  • 1tbspsugar
  • 1tsppepper
  • 1tspdried rosemary
  • green onions,or parsley, chopped, for topping


  1. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet and add garlic. Saute the garlic till fragrant and add the mushrooms.

  2. Toss the mushrooms once and then cook them on medium high heat, tossing them again a few minutes later.

  3. Cook for a total for 4 to 5 minutes or till the mushrooms are tender.

  4. Add balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, sugar, pepper and rosemary and toss to coat the mushrooms in the sauce. Cook for another 1 to 2 minutes.

  5. Serve topped with chopped green onions or parsley. Enjoy!
