
How To Make Blackened Tilapia
In under 15 minutes, you can have tender and well-seasoned blackened tilapia! It’s pan-fried for a crispy exterior and served with lemon for added tang.

Ingredients
- 4tilapia fillets,or other white fish
- 1lemon,sliced
- 1tbspcanola oil
- 2tbspbutter
For Blackened Seasoning:
- ¾tspgarlic powder
- ½tspsalt
- ½tsppepper
- 1½tsppaprika
- 1tsporegano
- ½tspground cumin
- 1½tspbrown sugar
Instructions

Combine the garlic powder, salt, pepper, paprika, oregano, cumin, and brown sugar in a small bowl.

Rub the seasoning over the fish.

Heat the oil and butter in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the seasoned fish and a few of the lemon slices, then cook for 3 minutes per side or just until done. Do not overcook.

Serve with the remaining lemon, and enjoy!
