How To Make 20 Minute Honey Garlic Shrimp
Put together a quick dish with this honey garlic shrimp that’s marinated and cooked with a sweet and savory sauce. Serve with green onions over rice.
Ingredients
- ⅓cuphoney
- ¼cupsoy sauce
- 1tbspgarlic,jarred minced, or 2 tsp fresh
For Optional:
- 1tspfresh ginger,minced
- 1lbuncooked shrimp,(medium) peeled & deveined
- 2tspolive oil
For Optional:
- green onion,chopped, for garnish
Instructions

Whisk the honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger (if using) together in a medium bowl.

Place shrimp in a large zipped-top bag or Tupperware. Pour ½ of the marinade mixture on top, give it all a shake or stir, then allow shrimp to marinate in the refrigerator for 15 minutes or for up to 8 to 2 hours.

Cover and refrigerate the rest of the marinade for later.

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Place shrimp in the skillet. (Discard used marinade.) Cook shrimp on one side for about 45 seconds until pink, then flip shrimp over.

Pour in the remaining marinade and cook it all for about 1 minute more until shrimp is cooked through.

Serve shrimp with cooked marinade sauce and a garnish of green onion. The sauce is excellent on brown rice and steamed veggies on the side.
