How To Make 20 Minute Honey Garlic Shrimp
Put together a quick dinner meal with this honey garlic shrimp! It’s juicily marinated and cooked with a sweet and savory sauce for a richer dish.
- ¼cupsoy sauce
- 1tbspgarlic,jarred, minced, or 2 tsp fresh
- 1tspfresh ginger,minced, optional
- 1lbmedium shrimp,uncooked, peeled and deveined
- 2tspolive oil
- green onion, chopped, for garnish, optional
Whisk the honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger together in a medium bowl.
Place the shrimp in a large zipped-top bag or Tupperware. Pour ½ of the marinade mixture on top, give it all a shake or stir, then allow shrimp to marinate in the refrigerator for 15 minutes or for up to 8 to 2 hours.
Cover and refrigerate the rest of the marinade for later.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Place the shrimp in the skillet, then cook on one side for about 45 seconds until pink, then flip the shrimp over.
Pour in the remaining marinade and cook it all for about 1 minute more until shrimp is cooked through.
Serve shrimp with cooked marinade sauce and a garnish of green onion. Enjoy!
The sauce is excellent on brown rice and steamed veggies on the side.
