How To Make Sauteed Green Beans

To make sauteed green beans, fresh beans are cooked in butter with garlic and various herbs and seasonings. You’ll only need 10 minutes to cook this.

  • 3tbspbutter
  • 1lbgreen beans,trimmed
  • 2tspgarlic,minced
  • 1tspdried Italian seasoning
  • ½tspkosher salt
  • ¼tspblack pepper
  • tbspchopped parsley,or basil, green onions, or dill


  1. Melt the butter in a large pan over medium high heat.

  2. Add the green beans and cook for 4 to 5 minutes or until just tender.

  3. Stir in the garlic, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Cook for 1 to 2 more minutes, stirring constantly.

  4. Sprinkle with parsley, then serve immediately.
