Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground round beef, 90% lean
  • 5 strips bacon, sliced into 1-inch squares
  • 1 medium-sized onion, chopped
  • 14 oz butter beans, (1 can) drained
  • 14 oz kidney beans, (1 can) drained
  • 14 oz cannellini beans, (1 can) drained
  • 14 oz pork and beans, (1 can)
  • 17 oz Hickory Smoked Barbecue Sauce, (1 bottle)
  • ¼ cup prepared mustard
  • 3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat a large skillet on high heat.
  2. Brown the bacon and ground beef to render the fat for about 10 minutes, stirring constantly to break up the beef.
  3. Add onion and saute for 3 minutes. Remove from heat.
  4. Transfer the beef and onion mixture into the crockpot leaving the rendered oil behind.
  5. Add all the remaining ingredients. Mix well.
  6. Cook everything on High for 3 hours or until everything is all heated through.
