  • 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 cup of grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp of paprika
  • 1/2 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp of salt
  • 1/4 tsp of black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Unroll the puff pastry sheet onto a lightly floured surface.

  3. In a small bowl, mix together the grated cheddar cheese, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

  4. Sprinkle the cheese mixture evenly over the puff pastry sheet.

  5. Gently press the cheese mixture into the pastry using a rolling pin or your hands.

  6. Cut the pastry into thin strips, about 1/2 inch wide.

  7. Twist each strip and place them onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each one.

  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese straws are golden brown and crispy.

  9. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
