How To Make Perfect Jasmine Rice

Having the correct ratio of rice to water is the secret to cooking perfect Jasmine rice each time. The best part is it takes only 20 minutes to cook.

  • cupswater,plus more if necessary
  • cupsjasmine rice
  • ¾tspsalt


  1. Bring the water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Stir in the rice and the salt; cover and reduce the heat to low.

  2. Simmer for 15 minutes until all of the water is absorbed. Taste the rice; if it is still too firm, add a few more tablespoons of water.

  3. Cover the pan and let the rice absorb the water off of the heat.
