Brighten up the usual steamed rice with this lemon rice recipe. It’s a zesty dish cooked in chicken broth and seasoned with lemon and basil.

  • 1cupwater
  • 1cupchicken broth
  • 2tbsplemon juice,freshly squeezed
  • 2tspbutter
  • 1cuplong grain rice,uncooked
  • ¼tspdried basil
  • ¼tsplemon zest
  • 1¼tsplemon pepper seasonings

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan on high heat, add all ingredients, except lemon pepper, and stir to combine.

  2. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat. Cover and simmer for about 20 minutes until liquid is absorbed.

  3. Sprinkle with lemon pepper before serving.
