How To Make How to Cook Rice

Place the water in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
Rinse the rice under cold water (optional).
Add a pinch of salt and rice to the boiling water. Cover and reduce the heat to low.

Remove from the heat and let it sit covered for an additional 5 minutes.
Fluff with a fork and serve.
Some brands of white rice may cook quicker (15 to 18 minutes), but most should need at least about 18 minutes.
