How To Make Chocolate Turtle Cake
Between the layers of this decadent chocolate turtle cake is rich, melted caramel topped with chocolate chips and pecans. This heavenly dessert greets you with moist and soft texture in each bite. This cake is truly a slice of home for sweet tooths!
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Lightly grease and flour 9x13 inch pan.
Prepare the cake mix according to the directions on the box. Then, pour and spread half the batter in the pan and bake for 15 minutes.
In a saucepan, melt butter, milk, and caramels on low heat, constantly stirring.
- Remove cake from oven and sprinkle the chocolate chips and pecans on top.
Cover the surface of the cake with the melted caramel mixture.
Pour in the rest of the chocolate cake mix and bake for another 20 minutes.
Once done, place on a cooling rack to cool.
Serve with a dollop of ice cream or drizzle melted caramel on top. Sprinkle some marshmallows, chocolate chips, or chopped pecans, and indulge in a slice of chocolate turtle cake!
