Total: 45 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Whipped cream, for serving
  • Fresh berries, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×9 inch baking dish.

  2. In a large bowl, beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the flour, baking powder, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until combined.

  3. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top with a spatula.

  4. Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  5. While the cake is still warm, pierce the top with a fork or skewer all over.

  6. In a separate bowl, whisk together the evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and heavy cream. Slowly pour the milk mixture over the cake, making sure to cover the entire surface. Let the cake cool and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
