Strawberry Cake Recipe

This is a great 4th of July tradition cake and yummy to eat all summer long. It even travels well to a picnic with family and friends. The sweet taste of strawberries is such a delight.


How To Make Strawberry Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 white cake mix
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 3 eggs
  • ¾ cup cooking oil
  • ¾ cup water
  • oz strawberry jello
  • ½ cup strawberries, frozen or fresh, sliced

For Icing:

  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp strawberries, crushed

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl and mix well. Bake in greased and floured tube pan in 350 degree oven for 40 minutes or in a 9x13 cake pan for 30 minutes.

  2. To make icing, combine butter, powdered sugar and strawberries. Drizzle over warm cake. Decorate cake with fresh strawberries and blueberries.
