  • ¾cupwhite sugar
  • ¼cupbutter
  • 1egg
  • ½cupmilk
  • 2cupsall-purpose flour
  • 2tspbaking powder
  • ½tspsalt
  • 3cupsstrawberries,hulled and sliced
  • ½cupwhite sugar
  • cupall-purpose flour
  • ½tspground cinnamon
  • ¼cupbutter,softened


  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and spray an 8×8-inch pan with baking spray.

  2. Add ¾ cup sugar and butter to a stand mixer on high speed and cream well.

  3. Add in the egg until well combined.

  4. Sift together 2 cups flour, baking powder, and salt then add to the stand mixer, alternating with milk in half amounts.

  5. Gently fold in the strawberries with a spatula and pour the batter into a baking pan.

  6. In a small bowl, use a fork to mash together ½ cup sugar, ⅓ cup flour, cinnamon, and butter until large crumbles form.

  7. Add streusel topping evenly over the batter and bake for 40 to 45 minutes.
