How To Make Pineapple Dump Cake
- 120 oz. crushed pineapple
- 21 oz. filling (I prefer cherries, any flavor)
- 1 pkg. yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup butter (cut up)
- 1 cup pecans (or almonds , chopped )
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease 13x9x2 inch pan.
- Dump pineapple into pan, spread evenly. Important, do not drain the pineapple prior to placement in the pan.
- Dump in pie filling and spread into one layer.
- Dump dry cake mix on pie filling layer, spread evenly.
- Sprinkle nuts over cake mix.
- Sprinkle cut up butter over top.
- Bake for 48 to 53 minutes.
- Serve warm or cool.
- Top with whipped cream or ice cream if desired.
- You can use any pie filling and walnuts may be used.
- Alternatively, you may bake the mixture in a crockpot on low for 2-3 hours.
