  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large peaches, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract.

  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

  5. Gently fold in the sliced peaches.

  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread it evenly.

  7. Bake for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  8. Allow the cake to cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

  9. Serve the peach cake with additional fresh peach slices on top.
