Ingredients

  • 300g glutinous rice flour
  • 150g golden syrup
  • 50g vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp lye water
  • 300g lotus seed paste
  • 4 salted egg yolks

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix glutinous rice flour, golden syrup, vegetable oil, and lye water until a soft dough forms.

  2. Divide the dough into 20 portions. Flatten each portion and wrap a small ball of lotus seed paste and a salted egg yolk inside.

  3. Mold the dough into moon cake shapes and place them on a baking sheet.

  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

  5. Remove from oven and let them cool before serving.
