How To Make Easy Surprise Cake

Soft and fluffy, this 5-ingredient surprise cake is perfect when you need an easy cake to make. Enjoy buttery chiffon cake that’s baked in just 20 minutes.

  • 13tbspbutter,softened
  • 1cupwhite sugar
  • 3eggs
  • cupsall-purpose flour
  • tspbaking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 2 8-inch cake pans.

  2. Place the butter and sugar into a mixing bowl, and mash together with a wooden spoon until the mixture is creamy and thoroughly combined. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, and pour into the butter mixture. Stir until combined.

  3. Sift the flour and baking powder together in a bowl, and lightly stir into the butter mixture. Pour ½ the batter into each prepared cake pan.

  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the middle of a cake comes out clean. Cool in pans for 10 minutes before removing to finish cooling on wire racks.

  5. Serve and enjoy.
