How To Make Chocolate Swiss Roll

Bake a moist and flavorful chocolate swiss roll for your next bake sale! It’s packed with a tasteful cream filling, and made in just 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • cupunsweetened cocoa powder
  • cupflour
  • ¼tspsalt
  • 1tspbaking powder
  • ½cupsugar
  • 4tbspunsalted butter
  • 4large eggs
  • 3cupswhipped cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

  2. Line a 15 x 12-inch baking sheet with parchment paper.

  3. Sift together the cocoa powder, flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.

  4. In the stand mixer, cream together the sugar and butter for 1 minute until lightened in color.

  5. Add in the eggs one at a time until fully incorporated, then add in the flour until just mixed in.

  6. Pour the mixture onto the parchment paper, then bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until the cake is done to the touch.

  7. Remove from the oven.

  8. While it is still warm, roll the parchment paper into a roll. Let it cool in the roll shape.

  9. Unroll the cake carefully, then spread the whipped cream over the cake.

  10. Re-roll the cake, then trim the edges.

  11. Serve, and enjoy!
