  • 2 cups of apple pie filling
  • 1 ½ cups of yellow cake mix
  • ½ cup of unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup of chopped pecans
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon of nutmeg
  • Vanilla ice cream (for serving)


  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.

  2. Spread the apple pie filling evenly in the bottom of the baking dish.

  3. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, melted butter, chopped pecans, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix until crumbly.

  4. Sprinkle the cake mixture over the apple pie filling evenly.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.

  6. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
