How To Make Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies

Turning vegan may look challenging for some, especially for those who can’t turn their eyes away from meat. But they just haven’t found these sumptuous vegan recipes that even non-vegans will surely enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of vegan butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup of unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 cup of vegan chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened vegan butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Add the unsweetened applesauce and vanilla extract to the bowl and mix until well combined.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.

  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing well after each addition.

  6. Fold in the vegan chocolate chips.

  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.

  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
