- ½onion,chopped
- 1clovegarlic,crushed
- 3cupswater
- 16ozdry black-eyed peas,(1 package)
- 3tbspcider vinegar
- 2tbspwhite sugar
- 1tspsalt
- 1dashred pepper flakes,or to taste
Instructions

Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add onions; saute for 5 to 7 minutes until softened and translucent.

Stir in garlic; cook for about 2 minutes until fragrant.

Add water, black-eyed peas, vinegar, sugar, salt, and red pepper flakes.
