How To Make Free-form Florentine Pie

Ingredients

  • 2 sheets of puff pastry
  • 1 cup of chopped spinach
  • 1 cup of shredded cheese
  • 4 slices of cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Roll out one sheet of puff pastry and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  3. In a bowl, mix together the spinach, cheese, bacon, eggs, salt, and pepper.

  4. Spoon the mixture onto the center of the pastry, leaving a border around the edges.

  5. Carefully fold the edges of the pastry over the filling, creating a rustic, free-form shape.

  6. Brush the pastry with beaten egg for a golden crust.

  7. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the filling is cooked through.

  8. Allow the pie to cool for a few minutes before serving.

  9. Slice and enjoy!
