How To Make Instant Pot Steel Cut Oats

Start your day right with these quick and easy steel cut oats recipe, a healthy breakfast meal made with blueberries, bananas, and dash of cinnamon on top!

Ingredients

  • 2cupssteel cut oats,gluten-free, if necessary
  • 6cupswater
  • 2cinnamon sticks
  • 4medium ripe bananas
  • 2cupsblueberries,fresh or frozen
  • 1cupmilk,nut, soy, skim, or any milk of choice
  • 8tsppure maple syrup,or honey
  • Ground cinnamon,for topping

Instructions

  1. Combine the steel cut oats and water in the bowl of your pressure cooker and stir.

  2. Add the cinnamon sticks. Cover, and cook for 6 minutes on High.

  3. Allow the pressure to naturally release.

  4. Remove the cinnamon sticks and discard. Stir in blueberries.

  5. To serve, pour 1 cup of oats in each bowl, and top each with 2 tablespoons of milk, ½ sliced banana, drizzle with 1 teaspoon of honey or maple syrup. Finish with a pinch of cinnamon.

  6. Leftovers can be refrigerated in glass or plastic containers. To reheat, microwave for about 2 to 3 minutes, until warm.

  7. Add toppings.
