How To Make Easy Oatmeal Carmelitas

Enjoy a bite of these delectable oatmeal carmelitas loaded with chocolate and chewy caramel! Whip up a batch of these in just under an hour.

  • 2cupsall purpose flour
  • cupsquick cooking oats
  • 1cupsbrown sugar,packed
  • 1tspbaking soda
  • 1cupbutter,melted
  • 14ozcaramels,unwrapped
  • cupmilk
  • cupssemi sweet chocolate chunks
  • 1cupmilk chocolate chips


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Line a 9×13 pan with foil, grease well, and set aside.

  3. In a large bowl, combine the flour, oats, brown sugar, and baking soda. Stir in the butter until well mixed.

  4. Press half of the oat mixture into the prepared pan, then top it with the chocolate chunks and chips.

  5. Microwave the milk and caramels at 70% power for 3 to 4 minutes until smooth, stirring as needed.

  6. Pour the caramel over the chocolate and the crust, then sprinkle remaining oat mixture over top gently pressing to stick.

  7. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.

  8. Cool completely, then cut into bars.

  9. Serve, and enjoy!
