How To Make Basic Oatmeal Bars

These oatmeal bars are soft, golden treats made with cookie mix and extra flavorful with hints of almond and vanilla extract. Make a batch in under 1 hour!

Ingredients

  • cupsquick cooking oats
  • 2cupsbasic cookie mix
  • 1egg
  • ¾cupbutter
  • ¼cupcold water
  • 1tspvanilla extract
  • ½tspalmond extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Stir the oats into the basic cookie mix. Lightly beat the egg in a bowl, then add to the mixture.

  3. Melt the butter or margarine over low heat and stir in. Add the cold water, vanilla, and almond extract. Mix well.

  4. Spoon into a greased 13×9-inch pan.

  5. Bake for about 30 to 35 minutes until the top is golden.

  6. Cool and cut into bars, then enjoy!
