How To Make Green Beans with Bread Crumbs

Make your green beans more appealing with this no-fuss recipe! It flavors the healthy veg with a mix of dried herbs, with added crunch from bread crumbs.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1lbfresh green beans,washed, trimmed
  • ½cupwater
  • ¼cupItalian style seasoned bread crumbs
  • ¼cupolive oil
  • salt and pepper,to taste
  • ¼tspgarlic powder
  • ¼tspdried oregano
  • ¼tspdried basil
  • ¼cupparmesan cheese,grated

Instructions

  1. Combine the green beans and ½ cup of water in a medium pot. Cover, and bring to boil.

  2. Reduce heat to medium, and let beans cook for 10 minutes, or until tender. Drain well.

  3. Place the beans in a medium serving bowl, and mix in bread crumbs, olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, oregano and basil.

  4. Toss the mixture until the beans are coated. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

  5. Serve and enjoy!
