  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • Cilantro, for garnish
  • Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Rinse and drain the black beans.

  2. In a rice cooker, add the black beans, water, diced onion, minced garlic, cumin, chili powder, and salt.

  3. Close the lid of the rice cooker and set it to the “Cook” function.

  4. Let the black beans cook for about 2 hours, or until they are tender and fully cooked.

  5. Once the black beans are cooked, serve them hot, garnished with cilantro and accompanied by lime wedges.
