How To Make Low Carb Turkey Taco Stuffed Avocados
A lite take on tacos is achieved by substituting the tacos with riped avocados. This turkey taco stuffed avocado is healthier and even more delicious!

Ingredients
- 4small avocados
- 1small lime
- cooking spray
- ½lb93% lean ground turkey
- ¼small yellow onion
- ½tspgarlic powder
- ½tspcumin
- ½tspkosher salt
- ½tspchili powder
- ¼tsporegano,dried
- ¼cuptomato sauce,canned
- 2tbspwater
For serving:
- ½cupMexican cheese,part-skim shredded
- ¼cupcherry tomatoes,diced
- sour cream,or Greek yogurt, optional for topping
Instructions

Halve and pit avocados. Using a spoon, scoop out a some of the avocado, to make a larger well.

Dice reserved avocado and set aside for later. Squeeze lime juice over all avocados to prevent browning.

Heat a medium skillet over high heat. Spray with oil.

When hot, add the ground turkey, spices, and onion. Cook, for about 5 minutes, breaking up the meat with a wooden spoon.

Add tomato sauce and water. Cook for about 6 to 8 minutes, stirring until cooked through. Remove from heat.

Fill each avocado half with turkey, then top with cheese, reserved avocado, tomato, and Greek yogurt or sour cream, if desired. Eat with a spoon!
