Ingredients

  • 12Roma tomatoes,peeled, quartered, and seeded
  • ¼onion,minced
  • cupwater
  • ½tspmustard seed
  • tspdry mustard powder
  • 1clovelarge garlic,minced
  • 1bay leaf
  • tspground black pepper
  • ½tspsoy sauce
  • salt,to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine tomatoes, onion, water, mustard seed, mustard powder, garlic, bay leaf, and black pepper in a large, heavy pot over medium heat.

  2. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes. Stir soy sauce through the tomato mixture. Continue cooking for another 5 minutes.

  3. Season with salt. Remove bay leaf to serve. Enjoy!
