  • 1tbspvegetable oil
  • 1onion,diced
  • 2clovesgarlic,minced
  • 1lbground turkey
  • 15ozblack beans,(3 cans) undrained
  • 14½ozcrushed tomatoes,(1 can)
  • tbspchili powder
  • 1tbspdried oregano
  • 1tbspdried basil leaves
  • 1tbspred wine vinegar


  1. Heat the oil in a large heavy pot over medium heat; cook onion and garlic until onions are translucent.

  2. Add turkey and cook, stirring, until meat is brown. Stir in beans, tomatoes, chili powder, oregano, basil, and vinegar. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer 60 minutes or more, until flavors are well blended.

  3. Serve warm and enjoy.
