Ingredients
- 1 lb pork shoulder, cubed
- 1 lb beef sirloin, cubed
- 1 smoked sausage, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups black beans, soaked overnight
- 4 cups water
- 2 bay leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

In a large pot, brown the pork shoulder and beef sirloin over medium heat.

Add the smoked sausage and continue to cook until browned.

Remove the meats from the pot and set aside.

In the same pot, sauté the onion and garlic until fragrant.

Return the meats to the pot and add the soaked black beans, water, and bay leaves.

Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 2 hours, or until beans are tender.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.
