How To Make Beef and Guinness Stew

Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs stewing beef, cut into cubes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 carrots, peeled and sliced
- 2 celery stalks, sliced
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 can Guinness beer
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions

Season the beef cubes with salt and pepper. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.

Add the beef and brown on all sides. Remove the beef from the pot and set aside.

In the same pot, add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until the onion becomes translucent.

Add the carrots, celery, and mushrooms to the pot. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Sprinkle flour over the vegetables and stir to coat.

Add the tomato paste, Guinness beer, and beef broth. Stir well to combine.

Return the beef cubes to the pot and bring the stew to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 2 hours or until the beef is tender.
