How To Make Greek Roast Lamb

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 leg of lamb (about 3 pounds)
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons of dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).

  2. In a small bowl, mix together the minced garlic, dried oregano, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper.

  3. Place the leg of lamb in a roasting pan and rub the garlic and herb mixture all over the lamb, making sure to coat it evenly.

  4. Cover the roasting pan with aluminum foil and roast in the preheated oven for about 2 1/2 hours, or until the lamb is tender and cooked to your desired doneness.

  5. Remove the foil and increase the oven temperature to 450°F (230°C). Roast the lamb for an additional 15 minutes, or until the surface is crispy and browned.

  6. Remove the lamb from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

  7. Serve the Greek roast lamb with your favorite side dishes and enjoy!
