How To Make Homemade Chocolate Pudding

You only need a few ingredients to recreate this silky chocolate pudding. Rich, smooth, and chocolatey; and takes only 15 minutes to make!

  • cupwhite sugar
  • cupunsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3tbspcornstarch
  • ¼tspsalt
  • cupsmilk
  • tspvanilla extract


  1. Sift and whisk the sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt together in a saucepan.

  2. Heat the saucepan over medium heat. Pour the milk in slowly, whisking constantly until incorporated.

  3. Cook, stirring often with a metal spoon, for about 10 minutes, until the pudding is noticeably thicker and clings to the spoon.

  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.

  5. Divide between 4 small bowls.

  6. Serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. Enjoy!
