Ingredients

  • 4 cups stale bread, cut into cubes
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup chopped almonds

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with butter or cooking spray.

  2. In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes and milk. Let it soak for 10 minutes, until the bread absorbs the milk.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Pour this mixture over the soaked bread and stir gently to combine.

  4. Fold in the raisins and chopped almonds.

  5. Pour the bread pudding mixture into the prepared baking dish.

  6. Bake for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the pudding is set.

  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.

  8. Serve warm or at room temperature. Enjoy!
