How To Make Chocolate Pudding

This melt-in-your-mouth, smooth chocolate pudding makes the perfect afternoon snack! Whip this velvety pudding up in just under an hour.

Cooking: 10 minutes
Cool Time: 20 minutes
Total: 40 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1⅓cupsugar
  • cupcocoa
  • cupcornstarch
  • pinchsalt
  • cupsmilk
  • 4tbspbutter
  • 1tspvanilla

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the sugar, cocoa powder, salt, and cornstarch. Mix well.

  2. Add in the cold milk, then whisk until combined. 

  3. Increase the heat to medium, stirring constantly until the mixture reaches a boil.

  4. Allow the mixture to boil for 1 minute while stirring constantly.

  5. Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla.

  6. Allow the mixture to cool completely, stirring occasionally to avoid a skin forming on the pudding.

  7. Serve chilled or warm, and enjoy!
