How To Make Chocolate Bread Pudding

By adding some unsweetened chocolates, you have yourself an extra flavorful bread pudding dish.

  • 1 ½ oz unsweetened chocolate
  • 3 cups milk, scalded
  • 3 cups bread cubes, dry ½ inch
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla


  1. Melt chocolate in milk.
  2. Soften bread cubes in milk mixture.
  3. Combine eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla; beat well.
  4. Combine both mixtures; blend.
  5. Pour into greased 8 inch round baking pan.
  6. Bake by placing in another pan containing ½ inch of hot water.

  7. Bake 45 minutes in a 350 degree F oven.

  8. Serve with whipped topping if desired.
