How To Make Spice Muffins With Maple Cinnamon Frosting

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1/2 tsp cloves
  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 3 eggs

For Frosting:

  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 3 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease muffins pans. 
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the first 10 ingredients.
  • In a separate bowl, cream butter and brown sugar. Add vanilla and buttermilk; mix well. Then add eggs and mix well.
  • Fill prepared muffin pans (only 3/4 full). Bake 20 minutes or until done. Cool.

To Make Frosting:

  • Combine ingredients and mix well. Frost cooled muffins.
