- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1 cup fresh blueberries

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Add the cold butter cubes to the flour mixture and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to rub the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.
