How To Make Chewy Brownies with Chocolate Frosting

Enjoy these chewy brownies for a mouthwatering dessert. These baked goodies are topped with rich chocolate cream cheese frosting for a tastier bite.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • cupsall-purpose flour
  • ½cupcocoa powder,unsweetened
  • ¼tspbaking powder
  • ¼tspsalt
  • ¾cupgranulated sugar
  • ¾cuplight brown sugar,packed
  • ½cupbutter,unsalted, melted
  • 2eggs,large
  • 1tspvanilla extract
  • 3tbspmilk

For Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • 5ozcream cheese,softened
  • 3tbspbutter,unsalted, softened
  • ½tspvanilla
  • 2cupspowdered sugar
  • 2tbspcocoa powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt, set aside.

  2. In a separate mixing bowl, using a wooden spoon, mix together granulated sugar, light-brown sugar, and melted butter until combine. Stir in eggs and vanilla extract and mix until blended.

  3. Add in half of the flour mixture and mix just until combine, add in milk and mix just until combine, then add remaining flour mixture and mix just until combine. Pour batter into a buttered 8×8-inch baking dish and spread into an even layer.

  4. Bake in preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes until center is nearly set. Allow to cool completely.

Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting:

  1. In a mixing bowl, using an electric hand mixer on medium speed, whip together cream cheese and butter for 1 minute until smooth and fluffy. Add in vanilla and powdered sugar, then sift in cocoa powder and mix for about 1 minute until smooth and fluffy.

  2. Frost brownies with Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting and cut into squares.

  3. Serve and enjoy.
