How To Make Duchess Potatoes

Level up your usual mashed potatoes with these fluffy duchess potatoes, a French dish of potatoes, nutmeg, and butter, piped into mounds for a tasty side!

Ingredients

  • lbspotatoes,peeled, quartered
  • 3tbspbutter
  • salt and pepper,to taste
  • tspnutmeg
  • 2eggs,separated

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.

  2. Boil the potatoes in a pot of salted water for about 15 minutes until tender.

  3. Drain well. Mash the potatoes until very smooth. Add the butter and seasonings to taste. Stir in the egg yolks.

  4. Place the potato mixture into a piping bag with a star tip. Pipe onto a parchement lined pan.

  5. Whisk the egg whites, then brush them over the piped potatoes.

  6. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, or until golden.

  7. Serve warm, and enjoy!
