This Mom’s mashed potatoes recipe is the creamiest, tastiest mash ever. They’re easy to make too so you can quickly cook up a batch to accompany your meals!

How To Make Mom’s Mashed Potatoes

  • 2 lb red potatoes (peeled, cubed )
  • 2 qt water
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 dash salt and pepper
  1. Boil potatoes in 2 qts. water until fork-tender, about 12-15 minutes. Drain potatoes once done.

  2. Cut up butter into 6 slices. Top potatoes with butter slices and cover, allowing the steam to melt the butter.

  3. Add milk, salt and pepper. Beat with a hand mixer for about 5 minutes until smooth and creamy.

  4. Serve with additional butter or your favorite gravy.
