Ingredients

  • 2 lb potatoes, preferably red potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 8 cups water
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, cubed and softened
  • ¼ cup milk, hot
  • salt and ground white pepper, to taste

To serve:

  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter

  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Adjust accordingly.

  6. Portion your mashed potatoes accordingly, then top with butter and garnish with parsley. Best eaten while the butter is slowly melting on top of the potatoes.
