Whipping up these garlic mashed potatoes is as easy as 1-2-3! It’s simple, creamy, and makes the perfect side dish for any filling meal.

Ingredients

  • 3lbsred potatoes
  • 3garlic cloves
  • 4tbspunsalted butter
  • ½cupswhole milk
  • 1tspkosher salt
  • ¼tspground black pepper,coarse

Instructions

  1. Scrub the potatoes clean, then cut them into quarters. Keep the potatoes unpeeled.

  2. Crush the garlic by putting it on a cutting board, then using the flat of a knife, crush the garlic.

  3. Place the potatoes and garlic into a large stockpot covered with water by about 2 inches.

  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer for 20 to 25 minutes or until fork tender.

  5. Drain the water well, then add in the butter, milk, salt and pepper.

  6. Mash well with a potato masher for 3 to 5 minutes until creamy.

  7. Serve warm, and enjoy!
