
How To Make Easy Herb-Roasted Turkey
You don’t have to wait for Thanksgiving to get a taste of our delicious turkey recipes! In these mouth-watering turkey recipes, we cook turkey in plenty of tasty ways. We have turkey sandwiched between lovely bread, baked as pie filling, and cooked in a casserole. Whatever way it’s served, turkey meat is a versatile dish you just can’t get enough of.

Ingredients
- 1 (10-pound) turkey
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh herbs (such as rosemary, thyme, and sage)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 lemon, halved
- 1 onion, quartered
- 4 cloves of garlic, peeled
- 1 cup chicken or turkey broth
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).

Rinse the turkey inside and out, then pat dry with paper towels.

In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, chopped herbs, salt, and pepper.

Gently loosen the skin on the turkey breast by running your fingers between the skin and the meat.

Spread half of the herb butter mixture under the turkey skin, then rub the remaining mixture all over the outside of the turkey.

Place the lemon, onion, and garlic cloves inside the turkey cavity.

Place the turkey on a rack in a roasting pan and pour the chicken or turkey broth into the bottom of the pan.

Roast the turkey for about 15 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) when tested with a meat thermometer.

Baste the turkey with the pan juices every 30 minutes.

Once cooked, remove the turkey from the oven and let it rest for at least 15 minutes before carving.
