How To Make Roasted Turkey Breast

Tender juicy and buttery turkey oven-roasted for 90 minutes! This turkey breast recipe is a great dish to serve in any holiday.

Preparation: 10 minutes
Cooking: 1 hour 30 minutes
Total: 1 hour 40 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1cupunsalted butter,softened
  • 3sprigsfresh rosemary
  • 10leavesfresh sage
  • 1tbspfresh thyme
  • 2tspkosher salt
  • 1tspcoarse ground black pepper
  • 6lbsturkey breast,patted dry

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Set up oven so there is only the bottom rack. Add the turkey breast to a large roasting pan and pat dry with paper towels inside and out.

  2. Mash the butter, herbs, salt and pepper in a small bowl. Set 2 to 3 tablespoons aside for later.

  3. Use the back of a spoon to lift the skin from the turkey breast and spread butter inside. Smooth the skin back down to spread the butter all over the breast. Be careful not to tear the skin as the butter will drip out when cooking.

  4. Roast for 90 minutes, or until the innermost part of the breast is cooked to 165 degrees F.

  5. Top with remaining butter and let rest for 20 minutes before serving.
