Skip the store-bought version, and cook up your own roasted pumpkin seeds with our easy recipe! It’s well-seasoned, and takes only 30 minutes to make.

Ingredients

  • pepitas,raw, hulled pumpkin seeds
  • olive oil,or melted butter or cooking spray
  • salt

For Seasoning Options:

  • garlic salt
  • chili powder,plus lime juice
  • herbs de provence,or Italian seasoning
  • smoked paprika
  • cinnamon,plus chili powder
  • Worcestershire sauce,plus seasoned salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease baking sheet or line with aluminum foil.

  2. In a bowl, mix the pumpkin seeds with a small amount of olive oil, then use just enough oil so that the seeds are just very lightly coated.

  3. Add the salt and desired seasonings, to taste, then mix until evenly coated.

  4. Transfer the seeds to a cooking sheet.

  5. Bake for 15 to 25 minutes or until the seeds are cooked and begin to lightly brown.

  6. Remove the trays every 10 minutes to stir the seeds and check for doneness.

  7. Let cool, serve, and enjoy!
