How To Make Flavoured Nuts

These flavoured nuts are coated with hot spices, honey, and cola for a smoky caramelized snack that’s ready in 30 minutes.

  • ½cupunsalted walnuts,raw
  • ½cupunsalted pecans,raw
  • ½cupunsalted cashews,raw
  • ½cupunsalted almonds,raw
  • 1cupunsalted peanuts,roasted
  • ½cupCoca-Cola®
  • tbsplow sodium soy sauce
  • tbsphoney
  • 2tbspbutter
  • ¾tspcayenne pepper
  • ½tspkosher salt
  • ½tspblack pepper
  • ½tspcumin
  • ½tsppaprika


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Mix together the nuts in a bowl and set aside.

  2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk together all the other ingredients. Once butter is melted and liquid is slightly reduced, about 3 minutes, pour over nuts and stir until well coated.

  3. Lightly spray parchment-covered sheet tray with cooking spray and spread out nuts evenly. Bake for about 10 to 15 minutes until caramelized, toasted, and crunchy.

  4. Stir nuts once during cooking and keep a close eye on them so that they don’t burn. Remove immediately to a bowl so they don’t harden on the sheet pan.

  5. Serve and enjoy.
